We recently brought on a VP of Business Affairs at ZipRecruiter. She uses her iPhone to keep reminders, but not in the way that you might think.
If only the iPhone had an app for that.

Jessica Hefty applied to ZipRecruiter’s Exceptional Customer Service opening in late February and impressed us from the start. Her bubbly disposition and genuine excitement about our service made it clear that she would be a great fit.
Here’s a bit more about Jessica.
Tell your life story in 3 sentences or less.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin in a friendly, small town community surrounded with friends and family. I absolutely LOVE working with people, and I love cheese! (I am a proud cheesehead). Although my roots are in the Midwest, I’m glad I decided to give my travel urges a try… and now I feel like a natural California girl!
How did you end up in Los Angeles?
It was by chance, actually. I had no better time to move! I always pictured the palms, the beach, and summer everyday. Growing up with long, cold winters… that picture alone sounded like paradise! I am glad I took my chances and just went for it (like skydiving)!
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I enjoy going to the dentist!

Please welcome our new Senior UI Designer, the very creative, very talented Blake Crosley.
Tell your life story in 3 sentences or less.
I was always a geek at heart in school even though I was considered a jock. I became passionate about design and technology after high school. I moved to Los Angeles with my wife, Kenzie, to pursue creative life in the big city.
How did you end up in Los Angeles?
My wife, being a talented contemporary/jazz funk dancer, got the itch to move from OKC to LA after a summer she spent out here doing dance. We both decided it would be best if we moved to LA for her professional dance career and mine in UI design. We saved up for a year and made the plunge without jobs, contacts, or a place to stay. In hindsight, we made a great decision to move. Kenzie is now signed with the S Dance Agency and has embedded herself into the LA fashion scene via styling clients and traction on her blog, theboxofnerds.com. I’ve made some great friends in the tech community and landed as Senior UI Designer at ZipRecruiter.com.
